The Social Media Copy Editor will be responsible for editing and drafting new written content primarily for social media campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. This role will also support marketing, products/content, communications, and customer engagement teams with any copy editing as needed.
Description & Influence:
Write copy that creatively reaches out and engages our audience.
Responsible for producing and editing posts for all social media accounts
Collaborate with social media team to devise social media strategies for a diverse range of platforms
Interface directly with storytelling and design team to provide direction for the creation of visual and written assets
Measuring sentiment about Danette May challenges and offerings on the social web and responding accordingly
Identifying key influencers and building goodwill by sharing content with your audience.
Create original content and manage daily posting on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest etc) and monitor engagement
Represent Danette May voice accurately in every post, update, and conversation
Work with designers to ensure video and all creative assets are optimized for performance and posted to relevant social channels
Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
Work with Social Team to execute social media specific contests and promotions to drive daily active users and merchandising
Use social media analytics tools to assess trends, monitor customer acquisition and growth.
Background & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years relevant experience in social media, copy editing and/or marketing
Have experience managing editorial social media account with a diverse audience.
Understand current standards on all major social media channels.
Flexibility of work schedule a MUST- there will be times you will be required to work weekends and/or evenings.
Ability to produce quick turnarounds on editing projects- sometimes with same day notice.
Have fluency with content analytics, and a willingness to evolve strategy as numbers reveal user engagement.
Have strong editorial judgment.
Have a keen eye for copy, and advanced editing skills.
Have the ability to navigate internal and external relationships on complex and highly-visible projects.
