Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all segments of the accounting processes including but not limited to A/R, A/P, payroll, reporting and filing taxes, month and year end reporting, and maintain and prepare general ledger and financial statements. This position will work closely with the Inventory Manager to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting. Regulatory compliance is an important responsibility of this role as well. The Accounting Manager will play an integral role in the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process.

Essential Job Functions:
Managing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, balance sheet, cash flows and all other payroll and financial reporting.
Must possess a deep understanding of accounting for inventory and a knowledge of agricultural accounting is a plus.
Should have accounting experience in a retail environment
Develop systems and controls that are required to manage and control a fast paced, growing organization; ensure continual improvement through efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure that the Company and all records are maintained in compliance with GAAP
Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Coordinating with our external accountants to prepare income tax returns. Responsible for sales and use tax and CAT tax returns.
Taking a lead role in financial planning and results management
Maintain daily cash position by recording deposits and A/P and payroll disbursements, bank interest and charges
Perform reconciliation for fixed assets and capital in progress to General Ledger
Ensure payment of suppliers and collection on accounts of customers
Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in an accounting role
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
