Outside Sales Representative – Roll Off Sales Northern Virginia

POSITION SUMMARY : This member of a strong sales team will be responsible for developing profitable revenue within a specific territory by successfully performing outside sales for American Disposal Roll Off Services. The client will be existing and potential short term (temporary) and long term (permanent) customers. Successful candidate will be personable, outgoing, and self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve goals by building and maintaining relationships with clients. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Research and locate new clients through cold calling, networking, relationship building, and utilization of lead sources
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by meeting customer retention goals, resolving customer issues in a timely manner, and assisting with accounts receivable and service problems when requested
  • Communicate to and work with the District Sales Manager or Roll Off Sales Manager to resolve unique customer issues
  • Generate profitable revenue through the sale of services to new and existing accounts
  • Increase existing account revenue and profitability
  • Meet or exceed sales all activity goals
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of technical equipment
  • Acquire fundamental knowledge of potential customers, pricing and competition
  • Gain an understanding of and execute the division's pricing and service strategies
  • Effectively use American Disposal sales tools including knowledge of ipad and iphone capabilities
  • Acquire a fundamental understanding of appropriate local, state and Federal regulations

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated organizational, oral, written, and listening skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent selling and account management skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers and clients
  • Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required
