The Field Application Engineer is the technical resource for the field sales force and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the technical advisor and product advocate, the Field Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Field Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Qualifications and Requirements
Industry knowledge of various brands of brake friction and systems
Experience with automotive, aircraft, rail braking systems recommended
FMSI (Friction Material Standards Institute) familiarity
Competitive pricing, product, marketing analysis
Technical prints interpretation
Familiar with a variety of field and market concepts, procedures and practices
Experience with customer/technical support
Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well, as interpersonal skills
Ability to travel domestically & Internationally

Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering or related
Advanced Computer Skills
Basic Concepts of Project Management
Experience: Minimum of four years at related field or Product Engineering.
Frequent Travel availability by car and plane.
