The role of the Data Operations Analyst is an important enabler of the development of Ford’s Data Supply Chain. The Data Analyst will ensure that overall data standards, information interoperability, data quality, and data availability fully support the goals of GDI&A. The Data Operations Analyst works closely with GDI&A Analytics teams, IT Data Supply Chain, Data Governance, the Business, and external solution partners to drive alignment and delivery of the Data Supply Chain and brings data up to quality required to deliver on the business objectives. The Data Operations Analyst provides thought and technology leadership as a data SME in GDI&A for assigned areas (e.g. Manufacturing, MP&L). The Data Operations Analyst also supports select Advanced Analytics and Data Science projects.
As a data steward, consult with analytics teams, IT partners, and business partners to provide data domain expertise
Develop and document the process to operationalize data management at Ford by collaborating with Data Governance and Data Acquisition teams
Participate in information governance processes
Establish data standards and quality benchmarks and drive improvements to data quality to improve analytic outcomes
Provide expertise in business domain required to deliver business objectives
Manage business information issues and problem resolution processes

Relationship Management (i.e., vendor management, customer management):
Support alignment between business, IT, and GDI&A stakeholders to drive results (issue resolution, risk mitigation, issue avoidance)
Provide departmental feedback to other GDI&A groups regarding processes and standards
Collaborate and motivate within department, including readily sharing best practices with other Data Operations and GDI&A groups
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Analytics, Operations Research or business/technical equivalent
1+ year of progressive responsibilities managing data and data processes
Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent
Experience in the Manufacturing and/or MP&L domain
Experience with Alteryx, Qlikview, SQL, R, or Python a plus
Strong collaboration and influencing skills, and the ability to energize a cross-functional team
Demonstrated problem formulation with the ability to take complex problems and break them down to create and implement an action plan
Ability to communicate findings to make data analysis actionable and understandable by Data Operations team members, business partners, including IT and analytic teams
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal formats, including process documentation
Experience developing data standards
