We are seeking a healthcare consultant with experience utilizing problem solving skills, analytical tools and financial acumen to identify trends and develop associated improvement opportunities for hospital clients. The candidate should possess a track record of successfully integrating into high performance, interdisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and achieve measurable performance outcomes. As a consultant, you will help achieve our company’s goal to help transform healthcare organizations to radically improve client performance and ultimately patients’ lives.
Our Consultants will work primarily with client personnel, as well as in internal leadership, analyzing and leveraging operational and financial data to improve the performance of our client organizations. Consultants will facilitate the implementation of recommendations, maintain schedules, and attend or lead meetings with the client. They will leverage the data to drive the performance improvement effort. They will develop presentations for the client and manage internal databases related to tracking engagement progress and client improvement opportunities. Our onsite teams also work with specialists and the client leadership to identify and implement restructuring and savings opportunities. Working with client personnel, Surgical Directions experienced consultants will effectively guide the client through transformation efforts.
Perform the day to day activities of projects including interaction with client personnel and SD team members.
Work with SD tools and templates to assess, refine, and enhance client processes and procedures.
Apply qualitative and quantitative skills to various client situations.
Successfully influence and facilitate client performance improvement initiatives.
Maintain detailed work-paper records of assumptions, methodologies, and information sources employed during the performance of all analytical tasks.
Deliver a quality work product within established time frames.
Be an excellent team player, communicator and presenter.
1-2 years of experience working within healthcare on the provider side and/or broader professional services consulting experience.
Superior written and oral communication skills
Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Work as a member of a team as well as a self-motivator with ability to work independently
Strong people skills and ability to engage all level of the organization (especially frontline)
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
Must be willing to travel up to 80% (based on client demand)
Master's degree in a relevant field, (e.g. MPH, MHA, MBA, MS)
3+ years of experience working within healthcare on the provider side and/or broader professional services consulting experience.
