Serve as manager of higher education professional learning services provided by the Dana Center and provide mentoring, supervision, and support to project leads as assigned.
Provide leadership, oversight, guidance, and continuity across Dana Center higher education professional learning tools, products, and services development. Provide mentoring, supervision, and support to project leads as assigned. Serve as a field presence in the work of the Dana Center and help to build visibility for services work and for the Dana Center. Develop and cultivate relationships with clients, content collaborators, and funders. Work with the Director of Higher Education Strategy, Policy and Services and the higher education managers of curriculum, systems, advocacy, and policy to ensure coherent services across Dana Center Mathematics Pathways work and other higher education work. Collaborate other Dana Center staff to develop a Centerwide professional learning strategy using multiple modes of delivery. Contribute to business and grant development for higher education, including products, tools, and services, and contribute to the Center's ongoing innovation efforts. Support and participate in cross-functional communications and work. Participate in processes and activities designed to establish organizational culture that supports learning, collaboration, and relationships, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness.
Other related functions as assigned. Travel via air and rental or personal vehicle is required. Occasional weekend and evening hours.
Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.
Masters degree and 10 years of combined experience in higher education: teaching at the community college and university levels, research, curriculum development, working with higher education faculty and student services, development and/or delivery of professional learning services. Experience as a department chair or similar leadership experience. Demonstrated skill as a presenter. Demonstrated knowledge of trends and practices in issues related to professional development including course development and implementation. Demonstrated general knowledge of mathematics pathways. Demonstrated strong abilities in project management. Experience working with faculty and administrators. Experience working on a complex project or initiative with multiple strands of work and competing deadlines, and coordinating with multiple people Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Doctorate degree in a field related to the work to be performed such as educational psychology, math education or other related fields. Demonstrated commitment to the goals and standards of the Dana Center.
May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Position will require travel via air and rental or personal vehicle. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. Position may have remote work options at the discretion of the Dana Center.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
