The Senior Vice President (SVP), School Management oversees all aspects of managing K12's 70+ public schools, including revenue responsibility of $800 Million. This role has a deep knowledge of the business and provides strategic guidance to the leaders with a focus on academic outcomes.

Reporting to the President, Academics, Policy, and School Groups, this role will operate in a matrix organization; driving critical initiatives through influence and strong interpersonal relationships. This role will also lead effective, large-scale change initiatives; leveraging communication and change management techniques.

Lead, inspire, and motive teams responsible for operating and managing the companies' core business;
Partner collaboratively with the SVP, School Services and other key leaders to drive student and business success, holding themselves and others accountable for achieving shared goals and objectives;
Embrace and demonstrate the K12's Students First mission, vision, and capabilities and the people, processes, and solutions currently in place in K12 managed public schools;
Utilize research, data, and analysis of school data to drive academic gaps and make appropriate recommendations to fill the gaps;
Provide oversight of annual budgeting process for the School Management team and determines investment levels for desired initiatives;
Lead negotiations for managed public school contract renewals;
Develop strategies for growth and optimization of managed public schools;
Oversee implementation, management, and evaluation of an effective school improvement process that result in improved school performance in the areas of academics, operations, and finance;
Be responsible for ensuring operational compliancy in managed public schools with federal, state, and local laws and regulations;
Ensure the standards of excellence in academic and instructional models, leadership and teacher effectiveness are implemented;
Build strong relationships across the organization to ensure that all functions share the same vision of school success, and execute against agreed business plans and standards;
Nurture and cultivate board relationships, quickly identifies risks, and provides innovative resolution to identified risks.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 3 - 6 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field AND
Ten (10) years of experience in leadership role in an educational organization AND
Fifteen (15) years of business experience OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
