COMPANY: CIL/ACES$. The Center for Independent Living (CIL) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Northeastern Pennsylvania that promotes, supports and enhances living options for persons with disabilities and the aging so that they may remain in their home and community. ACES$ Financial Management Systems (FMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of CIL, is a payroll management solution for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

CIL/ACES$ is actively growing in reach and scope while increasing our in-house technical depth. Over the past seven years we have built a best-in-class FMS (financial management services) solution which has established us a leader in Medicaid consumer-directed payroll management. We are pioneering new approaches to help individuals with learning differences, including opening our new Transitional Skills Center. The successful candidate will embrace our mission and help evolve our IT environment with the goal to continually better serve our consumers.

TITLE: Junior System Administrator

LOCATION: Scranton, Pennsylvania

POSITION: Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the JSA will work alongside IT Operations staff, supporting CIL/ACES$ staff in Scranton and our other seven offices. This is a full-time salaried position. There is no scheduled on-call requirement, but this position will share Operations’ commitment to up-time for essential functions. CIL/ACES$ firmly believes in work-life balance and IT is a full participant in supporting our values and mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn, know, and observe all HIPAA, federal and state requirements and guidelines concerning Private Health Information (PHI) within the context of IT best-practices.
  • Specialize in direct user support, back-end support, and troubleshooting, routine administration, and customization for our Windows-based FMS Enterprise application stack.
  • Assist in implementing the full SysOps life-cycle including documentation, provisioning, deployment, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and growth management of complex interrelated systems.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Direct Support: provide Tier I and Tier II internal staff support as needed.
  • System Administration: Insure data integrity via backups; perform performance monitoring and audits; develop and maintain installation, configuration and defect resolution procedures.
  • IT Operations: Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including PCs, Servers, application workflows, printing, WAN/LAN/VPN/Wireless/VOIP networking and related systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional experience supporting corporate users, especially in remote environments.
  • Professional experience supporting typical Enterprise Computing environments, including Microsoft Active Directory, DFS, Group Policy, Windows OS 7, 8.1, 10, business printing and complex application workflows.
  • Familiarity with Clustering, Exchange, IIS, SQL and powershell scripting are pluses.
  • Good communication skills - must be able to work with a variety of people on a regular basis.
  • College degree, and professional experience with financial services are pluses.

Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
