Partner Energy, Inc., a fast-growing energy engineering and sustainability consulting company, is seeking a Senior HR Manager/Business Partner who can serve as the first point of contact for all HR matters and also develop and implement business strategies that balance the needs of both the employee and the company. The successful candidate will help transition Partner Energy to the next level of growth and corporate excellence while simultaneously maintaining high employee satisfaction and retention rates.

HR Administration

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs
  • Provide direction and mentoring for the HR Coordinator
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to employee files, hiring and personnel matters, company policies and reporting requirements
  • Maintain, update and communicate policies and procedures in employee handbook
  • Oversee employment verification requests, short-term disability and unemployment insurance processing
  • Receive and process leave of absence requests and worker’s compensation incident reports
  • Receive employee complaints, investigate and review findings, and resolve issues
  • Consult with legal counsel as appropriate


  • Be a steward for the corporate culture to ensure its continuance throughout expansion and across satellite offices
  • Survey employees to inform management recommendations re: company policies and procedures
  • Oversee the planning and promotion of company events including: retreats, team building events, holiday parties, etc.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Work with company management to develop customized compensation and reward plans
  • Develop, implement, and track effectiveness of a comprehensive retention strategy
  • Provide any needed support for payroll and benefit processing
  • Annually evaluate insurance policies and other benefits, make renewal recommendations to company management, and coordinate all open enrollment activities;


  • Identify resource needs and develop comprehensive recruiting strategy
  • Manage the company brand on social media and hiring sites to support recruiting efforts
  • Track and report on effectiveness of recruiting efforts
  • Provide internal training and oversight for all recruiting activities

Learning and Development

  • Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive employee training and continuing education plan
  • Manage new hire onboarding and training activities
  • Provide management coaching and training for all employees at all levels of the company
  • Track and maintain documentation re: professional licensing and CEUs


  • Create and oversee internal surveys to track employee satisfaction and gain employee feedback on a variety of issues
  • Develop, implement, and manage performance review process to meet company goals and employee career plans
  • Run business intelligence reports from HRIS as needed


  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws and related legislation including Americans with Disabilities Act, EEOC, FEHC, OSHA and the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection
  • Strong business acumen including the ability to gather and analyze data skillfully
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.


  • 6+ years in progressively-responsible HR roles, preferably in a engineering, or consulting environment
  • Experience in all facets of human resources and recruiting functions
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master's degree preferred)
  • SPHR credential a plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office


  • Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
  • Must be able to communication clearly in person and over the telephone
  • Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling throughout the work shift
