Zinc Tech I 3rd shift- Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists Operator in starting GSA and PEI machines, changing molds, etc., as required.
Performs gauge and weight tests during set up to assure weights are within drawing tolerances.
Repairs or replaces any mechanical components within areas of responsibility.
Troubleshoots machine issues.
Performs minor electrical work on heaters, micro switches and loose wires.
Maintains and replaces motors, feeder mechanism, bushings, and rollers as required.
Cleans and rebuilds pumps to specification.
Record first piece inspection on OPC charts (changeover and set-up).
Performs PM inspections as assigned.
Set up machines according to documented procedures.
Observes and maintains an ample supply of clips in the vibrator bowls at all times.
Constant surveillance of machines to insure that no machine is down longer than necessary.
Places ID tags on each bin and checks pans for clips and gates.
Sorts and separates clips from gates.
Operates and maintains vibrator.
Disposes of malformed or set-up weights.
Operates machines according to documented procedures.
Observes and maintains Zinc in individual pots.
Meets company’s attendance standards.
Performs other duties as requested or required.

High School Diploma or GED
Ability to work with various tools used in repairing machines.
Mechanical aptitude and high level of hand/eye coordination.
Capable of standing and bending for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry eighty (80) pounds.
Moderate decision-making and problem-solving skills.
