Your Role
As a Firmwide Accounts Payable Specialist, you will assist and support the Firmwide accounting team with financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment of vendors and employees. The ideal candidate we are looking for is a team player with strong accounting, communication, and organizational skills. Excited to work with a tightly knit team in a collaborative environment.
What You Will Do
Review and input invoices for proper coding to general ledger, sales tax calculation, approvals and supporting documentation (including global payments) in Coupa
Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP, and provide support during the financial audit
Audit and review employee expense reports to ensure compliance with firm policies
General support to regional Accounts Payable teams, including preparation of AP reports and ad hoc inquiries
Full cycle accounts payable including month-end processes and close
Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and controls
Responsibilities include ensuring A/P processes operate smoothly, recommending process improvements, resolving the escalation of issues and vendor inquiries, and collaborating with colleagues on special projects that support business
Your Qualifications
4+ years’ experience in a high-volume accounts payable department
Knowledge of Deltek Vision and Coupa for AP invoice and expense report process is preferred
Knowledge of project-based accounting methodologies and practices
Experience with global AP processes preferred but not required
Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics, including attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team
Willingness to cross-train other staff members in the AP function
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field a plus
**The base salary will be estimated between $60-68k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
