The job’s main responsibility is to collaborate with Bioinformaticians, Clinicians, and Researchers to design and perform data-science driven analyses relating to mechanisms of pathology in the clinical setting.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide structural biology support for variant analyses by analyzing and interpreting structural-function relationships
Develop new methods and protocols for structural modeling
Perform data science intensive analyses of the mechanisms driving clinical pathology
Validation of new methods, including data collection and analysis algorithms, experience with machine learning is a plus
Develop features/tools assisting clinical and genetic analysis on in house analysis platform
Support Bioinformatics, R&D, and the Reporting Teams for clinical research projects

Position Requirements:
PhD degree in computational biology, biophysics, bioinformatics, or data science
Familiar with, biological pathways, and genomics
Knowledge of current theories and principals of computational biology and data science
At least 2 year research and development in related computational fields
Familiarity with methods and skills involved with rigorous software development practices such as version control software (Git, Mercurial, OpenCVS) and test-driven software development.
Proficiency with Python, R, or C/C++, and SQL
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work within a team, among departments, and as an independent contributor, requiring minimal supervision
