Summary of Position
The incumbent in this position is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, enhancement, development and installation of the PC networks, operating systems and communications infrastructure within FPI and all designated customer locations. This position will require technical expertise and solid troubleshooting skills. The incumbent will also be involved in providing daytime and off-hour support and troubleshooting for Computer Operations as needed and is expected to work at the highest level of activities within designated role.

Duties & Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day disk space requests - adding/expanding SAN LUNs, adding/expanding VMware datastores.
Develop and maintain capacity planning for enterprise storage and backup products, such as: EMC VNX, Data Domain, and Avamar.
Administer EMC Recover Point Appliances in conjunction with VMware Site Recovery Manager to replicate tier 1 servers.
Regularly investigate how DR is configured, and look at ways to better HA and business continuity.
Perform timely and accurate maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of the database environments, PC networks, operating systems and communications infrastructure. Comprehensive documentation and communication must be maintained and properly filed and/or distributed. This includes, but is not limited to, drawings, procedures, schedules, work orders, time sheets, contact lists, email conference calls and training sessions.
Make recommendations, implement changes, and/or assist other technical staff in the development and/or installation of new technology and/or products or procedures to improve performance, increase uptime and/or reduce overall costs of the systems and communications infrastructure.
Troubleshoot reported problems accurately and in a timely and effective manner. Offer remedies and/or perform necessary actions to eliminate or reduce the chances of the problem reoccurring. Where applicable, provide and encourage the use of comprehensive documentation and/or procedures that will allow the customer to be more self-supportive. Implement new or modified procedures where applicable.
Aid in the development and deployment of new applications through timely and comprehensive communication of issues concerning LAN/WAN performance, operating systems, PC server and client capacity, disaster recovery, availability, accessibility and security.
Participates in web development projects to ensure projects conform to web technology standards.
Configures and administers web servers running IIS and Apache
Focuses on the organization and quality of the web environment; may assist in troubleshooting network problems and security issues.
Ensures solutions meet business objectives and customer requirements.
Provide on-call and backup support for existing systems and functions
Provide exceptional customer service to all present and potential customers, applying FPI's LEAD philosophy as the cornerstone of all actions and communication.
Regularly search for and identify opportunities for quality and process improvement resulting in improved efficiency, increased productivity, and high customer satisfaction.

Provide cross-functional assistance on an as needed basis to other operational areas of FPI.

Qualifications
4+ years overall I.T. experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related discipline; or equivalent years of technical experience
EMC SAN Storage Installation, configuration, performance tuning, and capacity planning; other SAN vendor experience is a plus
In-depth working knowledge of VMWare vSphere 5.x and Site Recovery Manager, as well as EMC Recover Point
Cisco UCS Compute experience
Working knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory, Windows Server 2008/2012 administration, Windows security protocols
Understanding of EMC backup products is a plus
Microsoft Exchange 2013 experience is a plus
Thorough understanding of Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity planning
Working knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, vbscript, etc.).
Communicate technical information verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical users
