Operations Manager

Shift: AM-Afternoon Hours
Compensation: $70,000/yearly + bonus
Job Description:
We are seeking a full time Operations Manager to assist in leading delivery/distribution operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Specifically, the incumbent will ensure:
- Delivering in a timely and accurate manner packages to recipients
- Monitoring, verifying, communicating responding to and acting upon the information generated from packages out for delivery as well as responding in a timely manner to requests for information or inquiries from internal and external sources;
- Following up on service issues, finding solutions and achieving resolution, closing out delivery day
- Building an operation that is capable of exceeding KPI’s, increasing volume and producing a profit
- Sustaining Ontrac culture through actively developing people, delegating work, communicating fundamentals and monitoring performance as well as motivating, recognizing and rewarding individuals and teams
- Establishing professional relationships and channels of communication with Independent Contractors that promote and support the goals of the business
- Implementing standard processes and procedures
In addition to a robust skill set that includes the ability to work independently, problem solve and communicate effectively, the ideal candidate will possess:
- 2 years management experience, preferably in a logistics/3PL environment
- Ability to lead others
- Effective at meeting deadlines
- Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining and completing performance evaluations for employees
- Strong computer skills, with emphasis on MS Office, proficiency in Excel
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
- BA/BS in business or related discipline is preferred
- Strong distribution background is preferred
