Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Government compliance policies, procedures, desktop instructions for strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Keep current on Government regulation changes, industry best practices, newsletters, media, and information that support compliance standards. Analyze all relevant program data, rate development, internal and external reporting to ensure consistent application, guidance, and adherence to processes and procedures. Identify compliance gaps and inconsistencies through robust audits, Q&A sessions, information gathering and data analysis. Support a monthly close process to ensure charging is consistent and all costs to be billed are allowable, auditable and supportable. Report results monthly to Defense Controller, PMs, Functional Managers and Executive Leadership team. Document changes to Disclosure Statement, and identify and remedy any violations or inconsistencies in disclosed practices. Develop and maintain a comprehensive Government compliance program that includes coaching, formal training, newsletters, and various forms of communication to build, maintain, and improve Government compliance capability and control. Respectfully challenge any inconsistencies in full transparency and collaboration to ensure full compliance, and aggressively address and fix issues. Ensure all incurred cost submissions are compliant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Lead Government agency (DCAA/DCMA) audits and reviews and develop a regular cadence of internal audits to ensure continued compliance. Identify weaknesses and recommend solutions to mitigate issues and strengthen processes or adherence to the processes. Troubleshoot process and tool issues to determine root cause and corrective actions. Gather, compile and analyze data to support Government compliance to FAR/CAS requirements. Work with Accounting Department to address and communicate relevant CAS/GAAP differences. Work on continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen process, tools, and resources for compliance, efficiency, transparency, collaboration, improve profitability and support Defense business growth.

Qualifications
Ability to understand, and apply Government regulations to Defense Contracts and ensure strict adherence to FAR, CAS, and GAAP/SOX requirements. Ability to work with functional and program teams to abide by and follow relevant policies, procedures, and desktop instructions for Government compliance.
Ability to identify and remedy inconsistencies in charging.
Ability to educate others on process controls and Government compliance requirements.
Ability to work with Government auditors in a collaborative and transparent manner.
Strong communication, writing and computer skills and ability to quickly decompose and analyze data required.
Must have or be able to obtain a secret DOD clearance. Knowledge of CAS/FAR/SOX principles strongly preferred. Knowledge of SAP a plus.

Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's and at least 4 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and at least 2 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
