CACI is seeking a Computer Science/Engineering Intern to support our Government acquisition customer at Fort Belvoir, VA. You will have the opportunity to support one of the Army’s leading edge programs providing a single platform that Soldiers/Marines can Fight, Rehearse, and Train that provides the increased lethality, mobility and situational awareness necessary to achieve overmatch against our current and future adversaries.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide computer science/engineering services support to the Army’s Technical and/or Test Directors as needed across the following areas:
Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (rule-based planning, decision, and Opposition Force (OPFOR) adaption support; quantitative pattern recognition, change detection, identification support)
Nett Warrior 3.0 Integration (Network Situational Awareness/Command & Control (SA/C2) enabled by Artificial Intelligence (AI) for combat overmatch, Synthetic training and rehearsal, wireless and hearing protection)
Thermal Camera Development/Integration (ultra-compact thermal sensor modules with standard interfaces)
Low Light Camera Development/Integration (ultra-compact digital LLL sensor modules with standard interfaces)
Synthetic Training Environment – Squad Capability, Heads Up Display Integration (conformal head mounted digital sensor system with immersive see through display)
Adaptive Soldier/Squad Architecture (an architecture documenting existing Soldier variations)
Squad Lethality Metrics (ability to predict Soldier/ Squad performance based on accepted model(s))
CORE3D LEGO Satellite Terrain Modeling to produce Raster datasets – GeoTIFF’s (high resolution DSM, material classification, etc, and 3D Mesh Models (Wavefront*.obj, and others
More About the Role:
Participate and add value to several IPTs, Working Groups, and Sprints to include, but not limited to, Extensibility, Geospatial, SBS, Autonomy, AI/ML, HEXR, etc
Provide weekly progress input to the EXSUM Review
Support Test and Capability events (potential travel)
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Equivalent of an Associate Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering field of Study (at least two full years of college level study in this field)
Ability to write clear reports and specifications in English
Ability to interface with team members, technical leads and Project Managers
Ability to work alone on individual projects with supervision and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
Proficient with Microsoft Excel for calculations, Word, and Power Point
Good verbal (English) communication skills
Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Previous Intern experience and/or lab experience supporting hardware and/or software system level design
Active Secret Security Clearance
