Summary: Accountable for driving growth for Red Diamond Retail Division through data and sales performance analysis. The Category Development Analyst will leverage all available information to drive incremental sales and volume. Data sources to include: Red Diamond internal information, retailer specific data, IRI syndicated data and all other available sources. This position will directly support the sales team with decision making regarding product, pricing, and promotional planning. The Category Development Analyst will provide regular reporting, as well as ad hoc reporting and analysis to support customer specific initiatives.
Essential job functions:
1. 40% Analyzes sales results by tracking sales, categorizing data, preparing summaries of sales volume and percentages of market. Identify trends and gaps by category and makes recommendations to sales team on strategies.
2. 40% Generates, interprets, and broadcasts IRI research for retail division.
3. 20% Based on analysis and company strategy, creates sales trend presentations for deployment to customers and participate in sales presentations with Red Diamond sales leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Presentation building skills in PowerPoint or other programs
Ability to influence internally and externally.
Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field. Knowledge of sales reporting tools and resources. Knowledge of CPG industry preferred. Data analytics skills required.
