Summary of essential job functions:
The Structural Superintendent's primary responsibility is to be the primary point of contact for all structural steel and concrete works. You will work in concert with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to schedule, coordination, plan and direct all field operations and personnel. Will work hand-in-hand with the Health & Safety Manager and Quality Control Manager to ensure policies and procedures are implemented and strictly enforced.
The Structural Superintendent will report directly to the onsite Project Manager.
Advocates safety as number one priority on the jobsite and enforces compliance with company and jobsite safety plan and policies and all safety-related regulations
Develops and implements detailed structural schedules and production plans with budget and safety goals in mind
Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, compliance reports and logs
Oversees the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings
Procures tools and materials needed for the project to ensure availability according to the work schedule
Ensures construction schedules are adhered to by determining appropriate staffing levels and material and tool procurement
Supervises and coordinates subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract terms
Follows and enforces company policies and procedures
Must be able to maintain a positive working relationship with the client/owner representative, AE representative, subcontractors, etc.
Must be able to read, interpret and understand complex drawing and specifications and determine construction requirements to successful plan and execute the work.
Must be able to work with the Project Controls Engineer to create a detailed construction schedule that helps guide planning, coordination, and buyout efforts. Will work be required to help develop, weekly, monthly and quarterly look ahead schedules to ensure timely completion of the overall construction schedule.
Must have the ability to mentor and train Cleared American, Foreign National and Local National labor force to ensure production rates and/or quality control standards are met.
Must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to conduct weekly scheduling / buyout meetings to review progress and plan work.
Must be able to work with the Project Manager to provide detailed labor forecasts to ensure production rates are achieved to support the schedule.
Has the ability to analyze worker and production problems and implement solutions.
Will be required to work with all Superintendents, Foremen, Subcontractors, Quality Control, Safety to ensure all tools, equipment, materials required to support the project are in place to avoid unnecessary delays.
Will be required to submit a detailed daily report that accurately describes the work performed, resources used, and accurately captures any unforeseen conditions.

A high school diploma is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 15-years total construction experience, 10-years working as a supervisor / foreman
Must be willing to deploy to project sites worldwide to complete construction projects.
Experience with Rigging, Setting, Bolting, and Erecting steel structures.
Experience in overseeing Critical Picks.
Communication Skills - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
Must have expert knowledge of industry standards, processes, and techniques regarding all aspects of structural steel/ironwork construction methods.
Must be able to obtain Top Secret Clearance
Physical requirements and working conditions:
Must be able to work 60-hours/week, six days/week, 10 hours/day
Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, climb, bend, balance and twist for extended periods
Must have the ability to lift 60 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to safely maneuver throughout the job site, i.e., climb and walk on scaffolding, climb ladders, walk up or down steep grades.
