Job Purpose:
We are seeking experienced and highly skilled Lead Auditors to join our global certification body, operating across the USA. The role involves conducting third-party audits across multiple standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, IATF/TS16949, ISO 50001, BRCGS, SQF, and ISO 22000. The Lead Auditor will play a critical role in evaluating client management systems, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting clients in achieving and maintaining their certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning and Execution:
Conduct third-party audits in accordance with relevant standards, ensuring thorough assessments of client management systems.
Prepare audit plans, conduct opening and closing meetings, and provide clear, actionable feedback to clients.
Develop detailed audit reports that document findings, non-conformities, and recommendations for improvement.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across the USA, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the audit process.
Provide expert advice on the implementation and maintenance of management systems, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Assist clients in understanding audit outcomes and guide them through corrective actions where necessary.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement:
Ensure all audits are conducted in line with internal policies, accreditation requirements, and international standards.
Stay updated on changes and updates to relevant standards and ensure these are incorporated into the audit process.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of audit methodologies and practices within the organization.
Technical Expertise and Knowledge Sharing:
Leverage expertise across multiple standards, adapting audit techniques to suit different industries and client requirements in the USA.
Participate in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance auditing skills.
Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues and junior auditors to foster a culture of excellence.
Reporting and Documentation:
Accurately document audit findings and provide comprehensive reports to clients and the certification body.
Ensure timely submission of audit reports and related documentation to meet client and organizational timelines.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other auditors and certification body staff to ensure consistent and high-quality audit outcomes.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the audit team’s capabilities.
Key Competencies:
Audit Expertise: Demonstrated experience in auditing multiple standards across various industries.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, IATF/TS16949, ISO 50001, BRCGS, SQF, and ISO 22000.
Client Focus: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, offering clear and practical guidance.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Attention to Detail: Ability to conduct meticulous audits and provide precise, actionable feedback.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work with diverse clients across various sectors and adjust audit approaches as needed.
Qualifications:
Higher education degree in a relevant field such as Quality Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, Information Security, Food Safety, or related disciplines.
Certified Lead Auditor credentials in multiple standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in third-party auditing or consulting for management systems.
Proficiency in English; additional languages may be advantageous.
