Responsibilities: - Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences - Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit and alignment of eyewear - Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and treatments to help them make informed decisions - Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure optimal comfort and functionality for customers - Maintain inventory of eyeglass frames, contact lenses, and other optical products - Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or issues that may arise Experience: - Previous experience as an optician or in a similar role is required - Knowledge of optical systems, including lens types, coatings, and treatments - Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes related to vision care - Strong sales skills with the ability to effectively communicate the benefits of different eyewear options - Experience working with diverse customer populations, including pediatrics, seniors, and individuals with special needs - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documenting patient information Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
