Prepares, seasons, and cooks food for patients, employees, and visitors. Assists in the coordination of the food preparation process on an on-going basis in accordance with established standards. Demonstrates the philosophy, mission, and values of the Hospital during all interactions with patients, families, staff, and others. Ability to read, write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions, and perform basic arithmetic as well as quantity preparation of a variety of food items at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school education. Ability to speak English to interpret and follow recipes as well as communicate with other members of the kitchen staff.
Qualifications - Minimum
Three to six months previous institutional or restaurant cooking experience is necessary. It will require two months in-house experience to become familiar with the facility, layout, staff, recipes, etc. to become proficient.
