We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager and Agile Practitioner to join our local consulting team. In this role you will be responsible for leading projects through envisioning, user story development, and deployment. You will be responsible for developing complex project plans and leading projects involving diverse components including technology, organizational change, and business strategy. In this role, you will:
Drive the full lifecycle of projects and/or products by developing the roadmap, writing user stories and requirements, managing delivery, and measuring delivered value as the project progresses
Apply customer obsession and focus on incrementally improving user experience, engagement and efficiency at each project step
Work with teams to define product development and release strategies with corresponding product deliverables and deliverable calendars/timelines
Manage complex task break downs, ensuring optimum organization and efficiency
Coach and mentor individuals, teams, and management in lean-Agile mindset and practices empowering the teams to deliver business value early and often
Practice servant leadership through focus on the needs of the team and those they serve, with the goal of achieving results in line with the organization’s values, principles, and business objectives
Help teams manage and optimize the flow of value across multiple teams using various Agile frameworks, tools, and information radiators
Collaborate with other Coaches on developing, aligning and maintaining team standards, performance metrics, tools, and best practices, including working agreements, definition of done, and definition of ready
A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
A passion for Project Management and continuous improvement is a must
Skilled at organizing and communicating complex concepts
Experience managing technology projects is required
Organizational and time management skills and attention to detail is a must
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedure within the Program Management field required
Ability to gather unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and formulate and deliver a solution in a timely manner is required
Ability to work under pressure of multiple projects and deadlines is a must
6 plus years of combined experience as a project manager, technical project manager, and/or program manager (across many projects)
4 plus years of combined experience working in complex Lean-Agile environment supporting multiple teams and dependencies in an enterprise organization using Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
2 plus years of experience as a Scrum Master and Sr. Scrum Master working with multiple teams in a complex environment
Experience working in scaling Agile environment using SAFe or similar frameworks
Experience working with Agile tools e.g. Jira, Rally, ADO, VersionOne, etc.
Strong facilitation and communication skills: ability to facilitate teams through tough conversations and maintain a positive and supportive team environment.
Able to challenge and remove team, organizational and/or cultural impediments promoting and supporting change that increases the Scrum teams’ productivity.
Able to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue – strong facilitator.
Agile champion, promoter, and easy to work with coach.
Passionate about change and continuous improvement; willing to challenge status quo
