Primary Objective: Design and develop new product and sales channels that drive growth and profitability, to include strategy, rollout, enhancements, training and marketing development.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer habits to determine the appropriate competitive positioning. Develop long-term plans for products and track performance against organizational goals.
Successfully introduce new and viable products and services to the marketplace
Develop and implement go-to-market plans by effectively collaborating across the organization and with external partners
Manage the entire product lifecycle to include: defining business requirements, conducting gap analyses, developing product design specifications, implementation, monitoring, etc.
Identify future products by conducting market trend research, taking into consideration the customer, competitive environment, opportunities, etc.
Conduct research into the market opportunity, product, and sales channel required for each project
Project management that leads Merchants Preferred new product and sales channel development process from concept to completion
Expand beyond the traditional product lines and identify new vertical offerings
Define the MVP (minimum viable product) beta testing strategy
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Eight to ten years product development experience
Prior experience in technology development, project management
Strong leadership skills
Attention to detail and critical thinking
Proposal development and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be highly organized and detail oriented
