Aspire Neuropsychological Services is designed to meet the needs of everyone in our community and beyond. We offer a variety of services to address the diverse needs of those in our community and in surrounding communities. We always strive to grow our practice by adding clinicians that possess a variety of specialties through education and supervision so that we can continue to provide quality service to our clients and patients.
Our practice provides therapy and evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. We provide neuropsychological testing, comprehensive developmental evaluations, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) evaluations, and Learning Disorder assessments to those in all phases of life.
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Clinical Testing Psychologist is responsible for performing a variety of the diagnostic mental health evaluations that the practice offers and providing high quality, culturally competent therapy for patients to promote effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development. We are offering a flexible position for those looking to supplement their income or those who would like to work full-time. We require the candidate to conduct a minimum of three evaluations per week. The candidate also has the option of holding a therapy caseload as well. The number of therapy clients seen each week and evaluation patients seen each week depends on how many hours the candidate is available to work.
TYPES OF EVALUATIONS OFFERED
Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations (CDE)
Rate: $750 (Up to 2.0 hours)
The CDE’s (see below) are most commonly requested in order to address the needs of families who would like their child (1 yr+) evaluated for ASD.
The details of a CDE itself are as follows:
- Brief review of referral medical records (when received);
- Standard, structured interview and mental status;
- No testing equipment is needed: we use computer-administered tests and self-report forms;
- Only scoring that is required is during the test administration. Computer-generated tests are scored automatically and the self-report forms are gathered by Aspire;
- No billing necessary. You complete our charge sheet template which doubles as billing.
- We expect reports to be completed within 2 weeks
- Two appointments are required for parent clinical interview and testing (one hour each)
- Feedback session can be completed during second appointment (if diagnosis is known) or may be scheduled once the report is complete (up to 30 min if scheduled separately)
- Direct pay every two weeks (bi-weekly compensation)
- Protocols and test materials are provided by Aspire; clinician may use their tests of choice after cleared by Executive Director
Learning Disorder Evaluations & ADHD Evaluations
Rate: $750 for children/$850 for adults (Up to 3 hours)
The LD evaluations are requested in order to address the needs of children (6 yrs+) and adults in our community who would like to be evaluated for a learning disorder.
The details of an LD evaluation itself are as follows:
- Brief review of referral medical records (when received);
- Standard, structured interview and mental status;
- Clinical interview; 1 hour
- Cognitive testing; up to 1.5 hrs
- Achievement testing; 30 minutes
- Feedback session (30 minutes)
- We also use computer-administered tests and self-report forms;
- Only scoring that is required is during the test administration. Computer-generated tests are scored automatically and the self-report forms are gathered by Aspire;
- No billing necessary. You complete our charge sheet template which doubles as billing.
- We expect reports to be completed within 2 weeks
- Two appointments are required parent clinical interview/testing and feedback session

Autism Spectrum Disorder Evaluations
Rate: $800 for children/$900 for adults (Up to 3.5 hours)
The ASD evaluations are requested in order to address the needs of families in our community who would like their child (6 yrs+) evaluated for ASD or adults in our community who would like to be evaluated for ASD.
The details of an ASD evaluation itself are as follows:
- Brief review of referral medical records (when received);
- Standard, structured interview and mental status;
- Clinical interview; 1 hour
- Cognitive testing; up to 1.5 hrs
- ASD testing; up to 1 hour
- Feedback session (30-45 minutes)
- We also use computer-administered tests and self-report forms;
- Only scoring that is required is during the test administration. Computer-generated tests are scored automatically and the self-report forms are gathered by Aspire;
- No billing necessary. You complete our charge sheet template which doubles as billing.
- We expect reports to be completed within 2 weeks
- Two appointments are required parent clinical interview/testing and feedback session
- Protocols and test materials are provided by Aspire; clinician may use their tests of choice after cleared by Executive Director
Comprehensive Developmental Evaluations
Rate: $1100 for children/$1200 for adults (Up to 4 hours)
Our comprehensive developmental evaluations are requested in order to address the needs of children (6 yrs+) and adults in our community who would like to be evaluated for ADHD and a learning disorder.
The details of a comprehensive evaluation itself are as follows:
- Brief review of referral medical records (when received);
- Standard, structured interview and mental status;
- Clinical interview; 1 hour
- Cognitive testing; up to 1.5 hrs
- Achievement testing; 30 minutes
- Feedback session (30 minutes)
- Test of phonological processing (if needed); 45 minutes
- We also use computer-administered tests and self-report forms;
- Only scoring that is required is during the test administration. Computer-generated tests are scored automatically and the self-report forms are gathered by Aspire;
- No billing necessary. You complete our charge sheet template which doubles as billing.
- We expect reports to be completed within 2 weeks
- Two appointments are required parent clinical interview/testing and feedback session

Comprehensive Developmental Evaluations + ASD
Rate: $1500 for children/$1600 for adults (Up to 4.5 hours)
Our comprehensive developmental evaluations are requested in order to address the needs of children (6 yrs+) and adults in our community who would like to be evaluated for ADHD, learning disorder, and Autism.
The details of a comprehensive evaluation itself are as follows:
- Brief review of referral medical records (when received);
- Standard, structured interview and mental status;
- Clinical interview; 1 hour
- Cognitive testing; up to 1.5 hrs
- Achievement testing; 30 minutes
- ASD testing; up to 1 hour
- Feedback session (30 minutes)
- Test of phonological processing (if needed); 45 minutes
- We also use computer-administered tests and self-report forms;
- Only scoring that is required is during the test administration. Computer-generated tests are scored automatically and the self-report forms are gathered by Aspire;

DUTIES
- Performs developmental testing with children, adolescents, and/or adults
- Completes diagnostic evaluations/assessments as given by Aspire using standardized diagnostic tests
- Independently assesses each patient based on the evaluation type and completes a well-written report that is given to the family
- Provides feedback sessions to family/client based on the results of the evaluation
- Conducts assessments to a wide variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, ethnic, educational and other diverse backgrounds.
- Provides consultation services to other staff about the needs of the patient, when needed
- Conducts scoring of tests, data analysis, and clinical interpretation using test data
- Completes comprehensive reports of evaluation results, including recommendations and resources for patients
- Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary
- Candidate has the option to conducts therapy with clients ranging from depression/anxiety, adjusting to life changes and challenges, making changes to improve mental and emotional health, and overcoming dependencies
- In alignment with industry regulations and guidelines, maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment and evaluations
- Guides clients in the development of skills and strategies to deal with their problems
- Prepares and maintains thorough and accurate treatment records and reports
- Evaluates client's mental condition based on review of client information
- Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
- Acts as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems if there is a crisis situation
- Provides in-service training on relevant topics for co-workers, as requested
- Attends required training and meetings
- Enhances skills through ongoing professional development
- Contributes to practice success by engaging in marketing activities to grow referral base
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed doctoral degree in Psychology
- Active State of California license as a PhD or PsyD
- At least one year of experience conducting Autism, Learning Disorder, and ADHD evaluations.
- Experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- Candidate will have the option of working remote, hybrid, or in-person
- Employees are required to attend staff meetings and group case consultation meetings
- General work hours are Monday – Friday; 8AM – 7PM with 1-2 evenings or Saturdays however candidate will be asked to submit ideal work schedule upon being hired
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasionally lifting/carrying objects up to ten pounds
