Financial reporting, analysis and budgeting. Prepare and analyze financial data and budgets. Administer accounting functions to faciliate financial reporting.
Maintain all financial reports and security in the SAS System.
Analyze monthly financial statements and other month end related financial data and reports.
Maintain all accounting records for trusts.
Assist with monthly sales forecasts.
Update budgets. Prepare budget files for department leaders. Create and maintain SAS Forms for budgets. Assist in preparation of capital and operating budget process where needed.
Review invoices for proper sales tax compliance treatment.
Complete Census, Economic Development, and other external reporting.
Responsible for quarterly financial reporting to banks.
Reconcile quarterly financial reports and overhead calculation.
Assist in any sales tax, bank, annual year end financial, and any other audits. Research issues as they arise.
Ensure internal controls are designed to protect company assets and audit controls in place. Make recommendations to enhance controls and processes.
Cross train and backup for Raymours fixed assets and depreciation records. Enter all fixed assets in BNA Fixed Asset System. Properly assign book and tax depreciation lifes and dertermine asset disposals. Prepare monthly fixed asset journal entries. Reconcile fixed asset general ledger activity to BNA.
Prepare special projects and analysis as required.
Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures.
As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or the equivalent combination of education and training.
Experience & Background:
Minimum of 5 years previous accounting experience required.
An understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to read and analyze financial data, reports, and documents.
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and flexibility to change.
Strong organizational and time management skills necessary to successfully complete multiple tasks in predetermined time frames.
Strong Excel and computer skills.
Possess a positive professional personality & appearance.
Ability to work independently and as part of team.
Ability to interact well with other associates.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain relationships with other departments.
