This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week. Position hours are generally daytime, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This position is in the Institute for Informatics. This position is for the Medical School Campus.

Essential Functions

Performs data management and/or data analysis for investigators using statistical packages. Assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trial and epidemiological studies.

Performs activities relating to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to include requirements collection and analysis, designing, developing, testing and deploying the final product.
Performs data extraction, analysis and/or data management using the latest and best methodologies (including but not limited to: SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel).
Assists investigators in the design of experiments, clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
Assists in data base design, implementation and maintenance of data collected over time for research purposes, including modeling, acquisition, editing and reporting.
May assist in design and development of data entry systems.
Functions as a SQL developer and statistical consultant with knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in collaborative studies involving the medical school community.

Required Qualifications

Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as, Math, Statistics, Computer Science or Epidemiology).
Experience and proficiency with data analysis and data management utilizing statistical packages utilized by department/s.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years experience in SQL and Database Management Systems (DBMS), and SAS or equivalent statistical software (SPSS, R).
Strong Business Analysis (BA) skills, able to effectively transform user requirements into deliverables.
PC/UNIX knowledge.
Skills and demonstrated success in designing and executing appropriate statistical data analysis.
Master’s preferred in statistics, computer science or related field.

Salary Range

The hiring range for this position is $47,029 - $59,987 annually.
