Column Accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Column Group Companies. As a memberof this team, you know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, prepare post and reconcile payments made to the Column Group Companies, and you'll prepare journal entries, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation - and all this sounds like fun to you.

Requirements

Accurately and timely post daily lockbox, EFT/ACH and manual remittance deposits to the appropriate customer account and invoices, ensuring reconciliation of all batches
Manage AR past due for US and international vendors / clients.
Interface with external customers to resolve open items
Perform account reconciliation, prepare refunds, offsets and write offs.
Assist in performing general ledger accounting functions as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of ensuring that department functions are completed in a timely manner
Reconcile a wide variety of financial data for the purpose of maintaining accurate account balances and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Assist in reporting key financial indicators to management
Provide analysis on company’s expenditures and revenues.
Commission and Bonus Calculation
Monthly Sales Rankings
Month-end closing process for entities as assigned.
Financial Statement Preparation for assigned entities
Assist with Budgeting Process
Special Projects and other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent computer skills: Microsoft office products (intermediate to expert skills in Word, Excel, Outlook e-mail and calendar) and Internet
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with employees from multiple departments, customers and vendors
Self-directed, excellent follow-up skills
Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects and be deadline oriented
Professional appearance and demeanor
Solid analytical skills

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
