Full Job Description
What You’ll Get to Do:
As the UI/UX Graphics Designer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional graphics, icons and other digital multi-media optimized for the best user experience. In this role you will coordinate with related customer stakeholders, leadership, project managers, content strategist and creators, and development team, in order to deliver options for wireframes and mockups that shall set the basis from a design perspective. Candidates will also conduct product design research to support upcoming platform re-design efforts, prototyping interface concepts and user journey enhancements.
More About the Role:
Develop graphics, icons, mockups, and other digital multimedia as needed, utilizing expertise in UI/UX for developing optimized designs.
Gathering and evaluating user requirements, in collaboration with product managers, content team and developers, illustrating design ideas using storyboards/mockups, working closely with content strategist to provide the best user experience, creating process flows and sitemaps, providing UX guidance and best practices, designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets, creating illustrations and icons, sourcing photo and video, site branding.
Create multiple versions of website mockups and designs.
Provide compelling graphics needed for the organization with a specific focus in supporting the freshness, effectiveness, and usability of websites.
Develop custom images, icons, and related media to enhance visual representation to meet CISA objectives.
Work collaboratively with other digital engagement team members to develop a consistent plan that shall meet the customers’ needs.
Follow all relevant style guides, design standards and other required practices.
Ensure site aesthetic is customer Style Guide compliant.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD).
13 Years' Applicable Experience or Equivalency (equivalency includes MA + 4 years applicable experience, BA + 7 years applicable experience or AA + 9 years applicable experience)
Over 5 years experience designing User Interfaces (UI) for optimized User Experience
Proficient with Illustration, Iconography, Infographics, Page layout, Adobe Suite
Previous experience working collaboratively with web designers and product managers
