This position is for a Thermoplastic composites tooling analysis engineer at the Boeing St. Louis, Missouri site. The position will report into the BR&T Materials and Manufacturing Technology team focused on Composites and Metals.
As a Tooling Engineer on the Thermoplastic Composite Materials and Fabrication team, job responsibilities include:
Designing new tools, molds, and dies for processing of structural thermoplastic composite materials
Developing models and using software tools to predict part final configuration based on tooling surface and processing parameters
Creating and release guidance documentation to the Boeing enterprise and external suppliers on best practices for thermoplastic composite tooling design
Development and qualification of new structural thermoplastic composites materials

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with composite, injection molding, or other polymer processing tooling, dies, or molds.
Experience with analytical or simulation software tools.
Experience with computer-aid drawing (CAD) software, preferably CATIA V5 or NX.
Experience with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
Typical Education / Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
