Weber Shandwick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Video Editor intern to join our award-winning content creation team in our Dallas, TX office. Working with talented video producers and designers, this individual will be an integral member of the studio team handling all aspects of post production including editing videos and animating motion graphics to create various forms of video & social content. The ideal candidate has the ability to deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment while up against short timelines.
Edit videos into strong, narrative-driven short pieces of content
Handle tasks like identifying story themes, writing scripts, selecting music tracks, brainstorming creative concepts, researching stock imagery, sound design, color correction
Transcode media, export videos, convert files, quality check videos, upload content
Work closely with graphics designers to incorporate design assets into motion graphics
Use your creative chops to turn pre-existing footage and assets into eye-catching visuals for commercials, digital elements, and longer form videos.
Maintain archival catalog systems and procedures
Potentially help on video shoots as a camera assistant or grip
Skills and Experience
A strong understanding of storytelling technique
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
Knowledge of contemporary cameras, file formats, codecs and post production workflow
Proficiency with RED, Arri and other cinema cameras & workflow preferred
Understand compression techniques/settings for various media outlets
3D knowledge a plus
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
