Google's products are known for their clean design, ensuring users can quickly and easily find what they're looking for. As an Engineering Designer, you leverage your strong technical background and understanding of "good" design to look for ways to streamline the user experience. You work closely with the product managers and development engineers throughout the entire production cycle. You design everything from high-level product flow to detailed UI mockups and then use your expert scripting skills to make your designs a reality.
As a member of a fast-paced industrial design team, you do it all, from identifying high level macro trends as a basis for creating moods and stories, developing color strategies, to executing the final color and material on products at factories around the world. Your process demonstrates unique and innovative solutions that push boundaries yet are producible with high levels of quality. You conceptually develop a range of color and materials that will be used as golden samples to target in production with our vendors.
As a CMF Designer you will apply CMF to product, develop CMF stories to support rationale, and create CMF documentation for build release. Additionally, you have prior experience producing golden sample sign off, limit boards creation and sign off, and troubleshoot on product at factories.
Please provide a portfolio showing excellent sense of CMF applied to a variety of product categories with appropriate story/rationale.
