Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to departmental providers. Duties to include greeting patients, updating medical health history and pharmacy information, taking vitals such as temperature, weight and blood pressure, and will also be instrumental in helping patients feel at ease during their visit to the clinic. Overall provides patient care, clerical and environmental control services in the physician outpatient practice according to established policies and procedures. Utilizes information to continuously improve patient care and practice to enhance outcomes. Communicates/collaborates with physicians and staff to provide coordinated, safe and compassionate care for patients. Participates in continuing education activities that enhance employee's professional abilities and ensure up-to-date patient care.
High School Degree or Equivalent
Requirements: 6 months to 1 year experience in a medical group practice or similar situation; Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants with a diploma; Basic Life Support Certification; proficient in medical terminology in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills and competent with basic computer skills.
