FLIK Culinary Internship:
OVERVIEW: The Flik Culinary Externship Program is a paid program that gives culinary students the opportunity to work in an dynamic and inspirational kitchen culture. Working closely with culinary mentors, Flik’s externs have an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes at a Corporate Dining and Hospitality Services provider.
FLIK EXTERNS WILL:
benefit from on the job training and mentoring in their field of study & selected functional area;
participate in professional development events and workshops during their time here;
build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal and professional skills.
Externs should expect to contribute individually and as a team member to support Culinary Services and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager.
Externship candidates must meet the criteria below to be eligible for the Flik Internship Experience Program:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or professional culinary program and provide appropriate documentation.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Successful completion of ServSafe Certification or its equivalent
Successful completion of relevant knife skills and/or Intro to Culinary coursework
Must be available for the length of the 12-week program
Must be available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs.
College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 12 WEEK SCHEDULE:
Interns participate in a variety of program events via LMS/WebEx during 11 week internship which include meetings with Management/Mentor.
