SynTerra is looking for a Licensed Environmental Geologist with the expertise to help our clients succeed. You should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in environmental assessment and remediation. This position requires the ability to work independently on specific tasks and in collaboration with clients and other environmental professionals, and it requires the ability to travel to remote project sites.

We provide assessment and remediation services on a wide variety of projects for a diverse set of clients, primarily within the Southeastern United States.

Position Snapshot

The following is a summary of what you’ll accomplish in this position:

Preparation of work plans, reports, and other technical documents

Coordinate and work on specialized environmental projects and environmental site assessments (Phase I and II ESAs), environmental compliance and monitoring programs, and regulatory approval compliance for industrial facilities

Geological, groundwater modeling statistics and/or data management

Technical writing

Requirements
Undergraduate degree in science or relevant engineering field

Master’s degree in geology or hydrogeology is preferred

5-7 years of experience

Project/Task Management

Experience with report preparation for submittal to the client and state agencies; soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations; and interactions with subcontractors

40 hr. OSHA HAZWOPER trained

Registered professional geologist
