Develop and execute a strategic sourcing strategy to ensure availability of high quality and cost effective materials within budget as needed to support Marketing, Sales and/or Education plans.
Review bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
Estimate values according to knowledge of market price.
Execute administrative tasks in support of the plan and to ensure receipt of components as needed, includes PR, confirmations, and changes.
Maintain and analyze procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
Address defective or unacceptable goods or service with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action to resolution.
Select products for purchase by testing, observing or examining items, and obtaining competitive bids.
Gain exposure to new materials, technology and processes via supplier visits, trade shows and seminars.
Complete and coordinate all account required paperwork for the setup of new SKU items in workflow, and SAP.
Complete all on line registration requirements for products to include 1 World Sync, Retail Link and ECRM databases.
Marketing and Sales Materials Management
Manage, all incoming projects requested from sales and marketing.
Follow all procurement projects through from inception, through negotiations of price, terms, vendor selection, and final delivery. Establishing timelines to meet business unit’s needs, and managing expectations.
Responsible for PPV, and inventory levels of items purchased.
BA/BS in Purchasing, Marketing, Finance or related degree preferred
1 - 2 years of material sourcing or procurement experience or customer development, trade promotion, category management, experience in non-durable consumer goods industry
Strong knowledge of procurement principals, practices and procedures
Knowledge of trade marketing practices and procedures
Knowledge of field sales and marketing functions
Strong financial analysis skills
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
Ability to develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with extended team mates to include business services, distribution, package engineering, production, other business unit departments, and vendors
Advanced level skills in word-processing, spreadsheet, database, and related software applications.
Proficient in SAP & BI
Strong project management skills
