The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) position is a tremendous opportunity for the right salesperson. Our industry is exploding and the ability to earn great money in an enjoyable role could not be better than what Acima is offering.
The OSR works with existing and prospective merchants as retail partners with Acima. OSRs enroll new merchants and train them on how to offer Acima's financing. This includes using the company’s online portal to manage their applications, answer general questions, and provide program support to merchants. OSRs are also responsible to manage the overall growth of the assigned territory. Because this growth is highly valued by Acima, OSRs typically start by earning a salary. Once the personal production and commissions generated exceed the salary, the OSR will be commissioned based on lease production and on the growth of the merchants in the assigned territory.
An OSR’s primary responsibility is selling Acima’s financing program to merchants. Other responsibilities include visiting an average of 10-15 stores per week day; calling on merchants enrolled by the OSR to offer help on specific lease applications; CRM management of assigned merchants (via Salesforce.com); pipeline management to help hit growth goals; supporting underwriting department when issues arise with specific leases; training merchants on program; and, answering general questions about Acima's processes.
An OSR performs on-boarding and initial training of a merchant’s management and sales people; manages merchant pipelines and provide ongoing training and support; performs continuous follow up calls to increase program adoption by retailers; provides support to inside sales representatives throughout the sales cycle; manages the distribution of point-of-sale program materials.
The OSR is responsible for a large geographic area and could include more than one state therefore requires frequent travel. However, there is very little over-night travel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate personal production through personal “hunting” as well as expert "farming" to assist our business partners in sales growth. Other tasks include:
Manages and grows sales through personal selling and business development to increase market share and strategic objectives.
Develops and maintains client relationships to ultimately drive revenue growth.
Develops and executes account strategy by collaborating with account management team to deliver stronger, more relevant value.
Cultivates customer relationships and ensures effective service delivery to accounts.
Focuses on merchant satisfaction, knows the merchant’s business and workflows, develops proper contact network within accounts.
Supports execution of strategy at the account and corporate level.
Responsible for forecasting, updating management about accounts in a timely fashion, gathers intelligence on competitor activity, and gives feedback to business partners.
Tracks merchant and personal sales activity in internal systems in order to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities.
Provides customer training on a regular basis.
Manages personal expense budget.
Accountable for personal production standards.
Leads new business generation gathering referral business
Ensures delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and managing daily and weekly
Proven successful sales track record of 6-10+ years of demonstrated success
Background in Merchant Services or business-to-business (B2B) sales
Startup or cold call experience
Salesforce CRM experience preferred
Solution sales experience
