Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide diagnoses, treatment, and case management to patients suffering from audiological impairment.
Designs, develops, and applies new approaches and innovative methods of problem-solving in the evaluation, prevention, treatment, restoration, management, rehabilitation, and resolution of unique caseload assignments.
Participates in the development of protocols to investigate efficacy and effectiveness of new clinical tests, clinical practice guidelines, and standards of care.
Serves as a role model for effective Audiology clinical practice skills.
Advises Otolaryngology and Audiology students, externs, residents, fellows and/or trainees who are engaged in advanced clinical projects in preparation of theses, dissertations, and other Graduate Medical Education (GME) projects.
Records patient visit encounters in the Ambulatory Data Module (ADM), makes charts as directed by the facility’s standard operating procedures, and annotates the appropriate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT-4) code(s) and the International Classification Diseases (ICD-10) diagnosis code for each patient encounter.
Shall record the number of hours the employee worked under the contract weekly.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an Audiologist.
Master's Degree in Audiology.
Graduate from an educational program accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech Pathology (CAA) or the Accreditation Commission for Audiology Education (ACAE).
Possess a certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in the field of Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA-CCCA) or certification from the American Board of Audiology of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA).
Must hold a full, current, and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
Maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.\
Must be a US Citizen.
