Assist the FSQA Execution Team department manager in various activities that align with the department’s key performance indicators (KPIs). Complete assigned project and present successes in an end of summer presentation.
KPI Project: (Example KPIs: Complaints, Foreign Material, Program Deviations, Returns, Product Specifications, and Process Deviations)
In collaboration with department management assess the FSQA KPI trends and determine negative and positive trends. Select 2-3 trends as the project to evaluate.
Understand the process associated with each selected KPI and assess the root cause contributing to the trends.
Collaborate with key stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, FSQA, Purchasing, Sanitation, etc.) to conduct investigations and identify sustainable action plans.
Key Expectation (Sanitation & GMP) Facility Audits:
Partner with FSQA Execution team to perform cross-functional audits to proactively support on-going compliance to Food Safety and Quality programs.
Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year college working toward an associate or bachelor degree, entering their junior or senior year
Food Science, Animal Science or similar major preferred
Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
