Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking an Administrative Specialist to provide professional level, administrative support to the Water System Operations Department. If you have strong administrative experience and thrive in a professional environment that offers variety and challenge and you possess a strong desire to become entrenched in the inner workings of the utilities industry, then this role may be for you!
**Responsibilities include: **
+ P-Card reconciliation for all members of the SDS team
+ Processing and paying monthly invoices
+ Schedule, take meeting minutes and create agendas/action items for Water Treatment Plant meetings
+ Time entry review
+ Water Treatment Plant Tours – scheduling/coordinating with attendees and plant personnel giving the tours
+ Ordering and stocking supplies for the group
+ General customer service to all WSO customers
+ Maintaining and updating calendaring systems, coordinating scheduling, making reservations and travel arrangements
+ Composing, formatting and editing business reports and correspondence
+ Budget preparation and administration, as well as attending budget meetings
+ Processing personnel documents and performs any associated compliance administration as applies or assigned
+ Coordinating and arranging supplies, materials, and presentations for meetings or events

**What will it take to be successful?** Most people will have 4 or more years of relevant administrative support experience and a high school diploma or G.E.D. Additionally, to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and/or abilities:
+ Strong customer service skills especially over the telephone
+ Multi-tasking ability
+ Strong team player able to work independently and with field employees
+ Ability to learn applications, software and processes quickly
+ Ability to exercise independent judgment
+ Ability to identify process issues and implement solutions
+ Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and calendaring to include the ability to type proficiently and accurately
+ Willing to learn and take on additional tasks as necessary
