Our Opportunity:
This is an entry-level position into the Desktop Engineering group of Charles Schwab & Co., and will focus on the infrastructure in use, backing up the primary engineer in the following disciplines:

Microsoft SCCM systems that support software update and patch across the desktop, laptop, and server systems in use across the enterprise
Dashworks analytics and project management infrastructure
PowerBroker, which provides control over privileged accounts for users and systems

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a candidate that showcases a willingness to learn, and bringing a curiosity to understanding how enterprises/infrastructure works. This position will build, maintain and update a distributed environment to provide SCCM services to both desktop and server systems.

What you have:
Extensive experience in SCCM, including troubleshooting the SCCM client on Windows assets
3+ years experience in a support role of operating systems engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering disciple
Experience in imaging and re-imaging desktop and laptop systems in an enterprise
Experience in imaging server systems in an enterprise
Experience building and managing a distributed server environment to support the SCCM infrastructure
Experience with IE Nomad, or other peer-to-peer software content distribution system
Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 knowledge on imaging and mechanisms to provide in-place upgrade opportunities through SCCM
Experience in utilizing BMC Remedy incident, problem, and service modules or similar ticketing systems
Experience in performance monitoring and management with a tool such as Systrack
Experience in performance and diagnostics with network diagnostic traces
Experience in PowerShell is a plus
Troubleshooting application installation issues on clients such as Windows
Experience in Tableau or other data analytic software is a plus
Understanding of server technology for both physical and virtual servers
This position will be required at times to shift work days/times in order to accommodate supporting of changes in this environment and validation of infrastructure after updates
