What you’ll be doing...
The Wireline Operations Controls Center (OCC) provides provisioning, maintenance and dispatch support to the Retail, Wholesale and Enterprise business customer base and is open 24 hours, 365 days a year. We provide support for every product level from POTS service to Optical Carrier Systems. As part of the operations center team, you will be a part of a very high paced and customer focused work environment.
This position is for the Senior Manager, Construction Control for the Mid-Atlantic North Region. The Senior Manager is responsible for leading the Control Manager Operations and Absence Administration functions.
Capacity planning for CXM Operations for the State of NJ.
Integrate Control Manager function/ Responsibilities for the States of PA and DE.
Plan and execute on monthly fios build obligations.
Facilitate dynamic force operations to meet critical work elements across CXM and I&M workforces.
Improve/maintain absence control and attendance with oversight for Absence Administrations team management.
Provide developmental training, conduct daily job observations to determine adherence to quality and process requirements.
Identify underperforming areas and initiate process improvements in coordination with their peers both in the center and the field.
Contact and collaborate with internal/external customers to address various service issues.
Attend customer service meetings as required.
Ensure all Team Leader and staff administrative records are kept up to date and are secured.
Work with the union to resolve grievances and or workplace issues and create a positive working environment.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to work all shifts including weekends, holidays and on-call duty.
Even better if you have:
Six or more years of direct supervisory and leadership experience. Relevant experience in Field Operations (Installation & Maintenance/Cable Maintenance/CXM/PPM), Engineering, or CMC Role.
Working knowledge of the Dispatch Capacity Management Model and of Verizon absence administration, Regional Attendance Plan (RAP) and FMLA federal guidelines.
Advanced knowledge of Familiarity with the following systems: vBuild, EPM, vSAP, CTC, Manager Central, AMTS and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically ability to manipulate Excel).
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, resolve conflicts and provide solutions to improve team effectiveness to exceed corporate objectives.
In-depth experience and knowledge of the following Verizon Systems: WFA-DO, COA-D, Work Manager, COA Scheduler, and VLSS (GB/BB a plus).
Strong organizational, communication skills with a proven track record of communicating at all levels. Experience presenting to and interacting with executives.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, partner across corporate organizations, and proactively address issues in a fast paced, high volume environment.
Experience managing an expense budget and working within overtime objectives.
Strong knowledge of outside plant and facilities.
Proven history of leading high performing teams.
Experience and understanding of CWA Contract, Labor Relations and Grievance process.
Union-Management negotiation experience.
