We are searching for a Medical Assistant with great communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
We have a busy office with seven surgeons. We're looking for a strong work ethic and previous MA experience. The goal is to complete all activities accurately and at high quality in a timely manner to provide our patients with the very best care.
You should also be strong in the following;
- Able to manage tasks in compliance with our Office and Clinic procedures
- Able to communicate clearly and accurate information to providers and patients
- Able to manage surgery pre-authorizations to ensure details are not overlooked
- Have knowledge of medical office EMR systems and procedures
Administrative Duties include:
- Surgery scheduling
- Insurance verification and pre-authorizations
- Obtain pre-authorizations for patient surgeries, radiology exams, procedures by phone, fax or online
Clinical Duties include:
- Room patients, take vital signs, weight and temperature and record in EMR
- Clean/wrap/sterilize instruments
- Assist Physician with in office surgical procedures
- Room and prepare patient for exam
- Assisting patients to complete intake forms, allergies, pharmacy information in EMR
- Counsels patients about preop instructions
- Call in prescriptions to pharmacy for patients
- Set-up for surgical procedures by laying out surgical instruments
Travel Between Offices:
