The firm was founded in 1996 and has grown to be a leading developer of lifestyle properties across the United States. Its subsidiaries were strategically formed over time to provide proprietary and third-party development and management services, which include design and procurement, general contracting, hotel operations, and lifestyle branding.
The Corporate Controller is responsible for managing and supporting a multi-company portfolio. managing an accounting team, assisting with all hands-on accounting aspects of the company, and working collaboratively with the CEO and senior management in the aggressive and successful growth of the company. The person in this role will be a visionary Finance Leader who is hands-on with the accounting team and has strong financial and accounting skills. This leadership role is responsible for financial planning, providing strategic leadership in the development, evaluation and execution of short and long-term strategic objectives. This position requires a Florida CPA.
Plan, Develop, and implement the organization’s financial goals and lead the financial operations of subsidiary companies.
Integrates financial planning with organization’s strategic direction.
Administer banking arrangements
Lead the preparation of the annual budgets.
Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis. Review financial results and discuss changes to address needs and trends.
Develop and monitor policies and procedures within generally accepted accounting principles and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow and reduced operating cost
Establish and reinforce a system of effective accounting and operational controls
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL
Ensure underlying accounting records are accurate, complete in accordance with USGAAP and record keeping complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting periodic internal audits; Ensures effective management of cash flow
Support the acquisitions team during due diligence and negotiations of acquisition.
Lead month-end and year-end close process
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration. CPA required. Five to ten (5-10) years of previous commercial real estate, property management, and/or related industry experience. Knowledge of all financial legislation.
