Healthy Schools is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a team of RN’s and LPN’s administer flu vaccines to children in the school setting. We are looking for an energetic, dedicated CNA who has experience working with children.
This is an extremely flexible, seasonal position that offers an exciting chance to earn supplemental income while promoting community health! The school clinics are held in several districts in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. Clinic hours are based around school schedules but vary by the day.
The 2019 Fall Flu Season is expected to run October 2019 - December 2019. The rate of pay is $18/hour. Paid training will be provided.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Screen consent forms to identify eligibility to receive the flu vaccine (student and parent information, insurance information, health-related questions, parent signature)
Assist team members with clinic set-up, cleaning up clinic area and repacking go-kits and vaccines in coolers.
Qualifications and skills:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with current license in state of Indiana.
New grads welcome (must have an active license)
Valid driver's license & vehicle insurance and willing to drive to and from central office.
Current CPR/BLS card.
Physically demanding position - must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed (up to 12 hour shifts)
Required to attend a paid orientation session prior to working clinics.
Ability to communicate through text, email and phone
Experience working with the pediatric population preferred.
