The Compliance Specialist is a full-time position assisting in the monitoring of agency programs, services and physical structures for compliance with contracting agencies, licensing authorities and accrediting bodies; reviewing and maintaining audit documentation; preparing and reviewing audit files; assisting with report preparation; and providing training on quality assurance and accreditation.

Collect, review, and maintain documentation for accreditation and external audit preparations through paper and electronic processes.
Communicate with agency departments on deadlines and conduct regular follow up to ensure targets are met with documentation submissions
Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of contracting agencies’ policies, procedures, monitoring process and accreditation standards, with the ability to transfer this knowledge to implementing and monitoring for compliance at the facility level.
Create and update agency forms and handbooks as assigned.
Assist with the review, revision and development of agency policies and procedures
Assist with monitoring for compliance, providing training and developing the agency’s use Global Positioning System (GPS) products
Conduct trainings for staff in a one on one environment and for teams of staff
Conduct internal compliance audits, individually and as part of a team. May act as internal audit team leader.
Assist with the development of corrective plans of action or responding to external audit review reports.
Prepare written summaries and reports related to compliance activities
As needed, be on site during external audits and inspections to respond to the needs and questions of the audit team and act in a support role for facility staff during the external review/audit.
Work independently and as part of a team, including giving and receiving feedback, to create excellent work products.
Perform other related duties as assigned (e.g., participate in the agency committees, attend training conferences, participate in staff meetings, and provide administrative support).

Education: Associate's Degree in social science. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in social science. 2 years relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of an associate’s degree if the degree is in an unrelated field.

Experience: One year in program evaluation, quality assurance, compliance, or similar activities. Will accept higher education in lieu of experience.
Computer Skills
Skill in data entry and reporting in databases; personal computer and Microsoft 365 software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint); office equipment (e.g., copier, fax, printer)
