SolAero Technologies Corp. has an immediate need for an Assistant Controller to join our team on a full-time basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the review of journal entries supporting the monthly close process.
  • Review of monthly account reconciliations.
  • Responsible for accurate, complete and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in the review and management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
  • Support and assist in managing financial audits.
  • Provide assistance in tax reporting activities.
  • Support cash flow initiatives.
  • Identifies potential process improvements and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency and quality.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team skills
  • Capable of effectively handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong GAAP and technical accounting background.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Ability to document processes and procedures.
  • Conscientious about timeliness of deliverables and quality of work product.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related from an accredited university. Advanced degrees such as an MBA, or professional certification (CPA or CMA) are highly desirable.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ years experience in the accounting and finance sector.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
