Dining Server

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Hired candidates receive competitive hourly server pay ($7.50/hr) PLUS 8% of total sales paid on a bi-weekly basis, along with any tips added to tickets. Display hospitality and professionalism with our members, management and co-workers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBITIES
- Responsible for maintaining all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist Restaurant Manager/Supervisor in the daily operation of the dining area.
- Responsible for inspecting the dining room, bar, bathrooms, side station and patio area, to ensure that all these areas are clean and ready for business.
- Accountable for the completion of all opening and closing duties for the dining room.
- Maintain high visibility in the Dining Room.
- Participate in all meetings held by management.
- Supervise to the highest degree when manager is absent.
- Train all new employees: Assist and guide employees regarding expectations.
- Learn and train all employees on the P.O.S. system.
- Communicate with manager immediately any issues with a member requiring immediate attention.
- Communicate with manager any and all issues arising from service standards.
- Communicate with manager any scheduling issues that may arise.
- Ensure all menu’s – check presenters are cleaned daily.
- Ensure all soiled menu’s are changed out immediately
- Ensure all staff adhere to personal hygiene and have a clean ironed uniform.
- Communicate with all beverage cart staff regarding time spent in the restaurant.
- Communicate with engineering/housekeeping by radio should assistance be required.
- Ensure all product is up to par, or noted in office for re-order.
- Assist in end of month inventory.
- Available to close restaurant – finalize paper work nightly.
- Oversee all operations of the restaurant in the presence and absence of the manager.
- Oversee the smooth running of both the front of the house and back of the house operation.
- Good verbal and social skills, good listening skills, able to make a sensible decision and willing to accept responsibility.
- Must be able to exercise the utmost in discretion when interacting with members.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude at all times
- Must provide outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Will be required to work a minimum of eight-hour shifts, possibly longer. Possibly split days off – Weekends, holiday’s, and nights necessary.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 Years strong Food and Beverage background.
- Working knowledge of dining room service, some wine knowledge necessary, cost control procedures.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- Food Handler’s Card required
- TABC Certification required

- Directly To: Food and Beverage Manager
