Job Position Purpose / Summary
Provide maintenance support and technical leadership for the Avent Tucson West (ATW) Facility. Maintain and improve the utilities, facility, and manufacturing equipment throughout the plant. This position will also support projects to include installation, contractor supervision, quality assurance of project work, and support of check-outs, installation, start-up and validation of equipment.
Job Position Scope (Optional)
This position typically reports to an Engineering Team Leader and has responsibilities for the maintenance and improvement of plant assets and facilities and maintenance support of projects. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, continuous improvement, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of utilities equipment and the facility, maintenance documentation and systems administration and technical leadership and training for plant personnel. Motivation and capability to work in a team environment and individually to achieve desired business results is imperative. This position will also support projects involving equipment, utilities and/or facilities. Projects support may include, but not be limitied to, preventive maintenance and spare parts set-up, maintenance documentation and systems updates and installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of equipment. The position has additional responsibilities to cross train as a Maintenance Planner, provide back-up support for the maintenance of plant production equipment and perform as needed in that role, draft and obtain approvals on maintenance work instructions and job aids, complete CAPA and QNC actions, set up spare parts materials, coordinate with Stores and to provide technical support for maintenance related environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements. Additionally, this position may lead projects typically up to $50,000 involving equipment and/or facilities.

Key customers for this position include Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, EHS and Plant Management. Meeting quality and regulatory requirements and keeping the plant processes and labs in production is a critical aspect of this job.

Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others on a team and in other departments is a must. Additionally, as a senior maintenance technician, the demonstrated ability to train, coach and provide technical leadership for more junior maintenance technicians, equipment operators and others in the plant is required.
Qualifications / Education / Experience / Skills Required
This position requires knowledge and ability typically associated with a two-year technical degree (or equivalent experience), computer literacy, ability to speak/read/write English (Spanish skills desirable, although not required), ability to read technical drawings, technical specifications, and measuring instruments, general knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical principles to troubleshoot and effect repairs and modifications to the plant facility and utilities and manufacturing equipment, and ability to ensure safe equipment functionality. Demonstrated Maintenance experience and skills associated with HVAC, compressed air, chiller, water treatment and other plant utilities systems, general facility and building maintenance, and production equipment is required. Demonstrated ability to meet FDA as well as ISO regulatory requirements for maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities used for production of medical devices and pharmaceutical products. is required.

Physical Demands (Optional)
Lift up to 50 pounds. Kneel, reach, bend and lay when required to maintain equipment. Spend up to 4 hours at a time standing and up to 4 hours at a time sitting. Work in and around machinery and production lines (in a safe manner). Work at heights (ladders, lifts, decks, etc.), in confined spaces and around energized equipment when required (with proper training). Work in hot environments when required (i.e. warehouse or outdoors in ambient temperatures for Arizona).
