Director of Information Technology
Since 1927 Southern Champion Tray (SCT) has been a leading manufacturer and distributor of stock and custom paperboard packaging products for over 1,100 customers such as Baskin-Robbins, Albertsons, Sysco, and Amazon across multiple industry segments, including bakery, restaurant/food-service, consumer packaged goods, and computer software and peripherals. Still privately-held by the founding family, SCT remains firmly committed to fostering a healthy corporate culture embodied by approximately 700 resourceful team members. We are searching for the right information technology (IT) and systems integration professional to join our leadership team. This individual will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Competitive candidates will:
Have a strong track record of professional performance, including a minimum of 10 years of IT systems development, customization, integration, and management experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience with enterprise resource planning system implementations or other major integration projects coupled with manufacturing or logistics industry related expertise is ideal. Working knowledge of JD Edwards Enterprise One is a plus.
Have strong cross-functional business acumen and demonstrated leadership capacity.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering. An MBA or closely-related graduate degree is preferred.
Have the ability to translate a comprehensive understanding of business processes into effective systems architecture design.
Have advanced information systems analysis/design/development skills, and a background that includes software coding and testing experience.
Have advanced quantitative/analytical skills and written/oral communication skills.
Have advanced business process analysis/design skills.
Have multiple examples of growing and developing IT talent.

SCT’s corporate office and primary manufacturing facilities are located in the dynamic NorthShore district of the Chattanooga, Tennessee metropolitan area. Chattanooga has experienced a renaissance over the last twenty years, with a revitalized downtown and riverfront, and is ideally located 2 hours north of Atlanta and 2 hours south of Nashville.
